Homework:

Homework is assigned each and every day in Mr. Mars' science class. Some of the assignments are to be completed in the student notebook, while some are to turned into the "Homework Box" the next class meeting. And now that most of the country is using Google Classroom, some of the assignments are posted at the Google Classroom. If the assignment is Notebook it will be noted as (NB); Turn in as (TI); and Google Classroom as (GC).
Projects and Reports are also assigned and worked on throughout the school year. Students should also spend quality time each day reviewing their notes in preparation for upcoming assessments (i.e. tests and quizzes).
This section of the website is designed to help students/families keep track of homework assignments. The assignments are numbered and are arranged chronologically starting with the most recent. Scrolling down will enable the user to view older assignments.
Some important abbreviations used are (NB) = Notebook; (TI) = Turn In; GC = Google Classroom; WS = Worksheet. CW = Classwork; and HW = Homework.
Homework Assignments:
Homework listed in BLACK applies to ALL students, whereas homework listed in BLUE applies to the 7th-Grade Science students and homework listed in RED applies to the 8th-Grade Living Environment (Regents) students.
Currently all Assignments are also being listed at Google Classroom, but this class website should allow students to stay better organized.
9/29/22 - Students should continue the License Plate Project which is due on Friday, 9/30.
9/19/22 - Students and families should complete the online class syllabus assignment found at Google Classroom. It only takes a few minutes and is an acknowledgement of the class rules and policies that are necessary to do well in a science class. (GC)
Students should also continue working on the rough draft of the License Plate project which was started in class. The final draft is due on Friday, September 30. (TI)
Students should also study for the Quiz on Friday, September 30. The quiz will be online at Google Classroom. There will be an in-class examination (Test #1) in about two weeks.
